I feel that books considered as ‘smut’ shouldn’t be accessible to children or teens. Haunting Adeline, Fifty Shades of Grey, Icebreaker, etc. It’s shown that porn has certain effects on many people’s minds, and that includes written porn. The dependence on pornographic materials has been increasingly rising, giving way to a whole bunch of different problems. Exposing young people to these kinds of books with their brains still growing and developing can cause a very problematic situation.

I think that many adults have issues with books with homosexuality and/or characters of color. There are a lot of adults who happen to be bigots and feel that books with these elements are harmful to people of every age.
